We fell out of first place at the Barum Rally due to a technical problem. We had a fantastic ride with Miki all weekend: on Saturday night, after four sprints, we finished only 1.8 seconds away from the first place in the women’s evaluation, then we took the lead through the first sprint (SS8) on Sunday, but on the next track we couldn’t start due to a clutch failure.
It hurt a lot, because we cooperated well with the car, the navigation went well, we had an amazing battle with the female drivers and some guys as well. The pace was there, the flow was there, the car was also great. We had just taken over the lead when, at the start of SS9, the brand new clutch suddenly broke down, we had no drive, so we had to push the car. We would have liked to go home with a good result, but it didn’t work out, the rally is unfortunately like that. We thank the team for the fantastic work, it is not their fault, we thank our partners and the amazing Hungarian fans, who were waiting for us everywhere with Hungarian flags.
